The next big hit among nut spreads?
One thing true - the competition between nut spreads is fierce. That’s why we may simply miss some of them. Among the spreads, however, there is one on the rise which is slowly but surely taking on the front-seat in the nut world ...
Absolutely justified, as it is incredibly delicious.
This is a creamy spread made from 100 % cashews.
Natural sweetness, delicate, creamy texture and a light note reminiscent of sophisticated vanilla ... All this firmly places it alongside all other types of nut spreads, while many argue it deserves a definite golden buzzer.
Because it matters which one you choose
If you are ever put off by the thought of different butters and spreads, because you realize that they often contain heaps of sugar and additives that allow the butter to remain more homogeneous - you are right.
Just a quick look at the labels sometimes reveals cane sugar, various refined oils, excessive amounts of salt, emulsifiers and more…
Did you know there’s a way around this?
In Malinca, we proved that you don't need to add all those to capture the intense taste, creamy and light texture and nutrition of this butter.
The only thing you need is roasted cashews.
Malinca cream cashew butter is:
Nuts that are in fact seeds…
Cashew nuts are seeds harvested from the cashew apple. It grows outside the fruit, within a kidney-shaped drupe that hangs at the end of the cashew apple’s base.
Butter made from cashews, however, is not a novelty on the market, although it is only recently gaining its popularity. During the Cold War, such butter was part of the mandatory equipment of American civil protection, as cashews are an exceptional source of nutrients.
Nutritional value of cashews
Cashews are a fairly high-calorie food that has considerable nutritional value. When we eat about 30 g of cashews, we consume approximately 5.5 g of protein and a few more carbohydrates, around 9 g.
They also contain some important micronutrients, as they contain iron and magnesium, as well as potassium, calcium and other minerals. Because of these properties, cashew nuts are also favoured by vegans, as they provide their intake of nutrients and essential fatty acids.
Nutritious and tasty, healthy lifestyle-friendly butter
That a 100 % natural cashew butter is really only made from cashews and that no other oils were added can be confirmed by checking that the naturally present oil separates from the dense part of the butter.
Therefore, oil separation should not be feared, as it is a very good sign or an indicator that cashew butter is truly natural and free of artificial additives, stabilizers and oils, which would allow the homogeneity of the butter.
Oil separation is therefore a natural process and a testament to quality. Before use, just stir in the oil with the thick part of the butter and it’s ready to use.
Should you want a more fluid or slightly thicker structure, just play around with stirring the oil and the thick part of the butter.
A versatile spread that goes well with both sweet and savoury dishes.
Cashew spread with its mild and slightly sweet taste goes well with both sweet and savoury dishes. It can be used instead of cheese or as a dip for fruit or vegetables.
Both are incredibly delicious. Pancakes spread with it become real poetry, and ice cream, creams and sauces of all kinds will get a royally creamy touch-up.
