Origin:  Organic rosehip is sourced from the Andes mountains in Chile, South America, where it is cultivated according to organic farming guidelines. Chile produces 85% of the world's rosehip - thanks to the cold, rainy climate, in which this shrub thrives. The oil is pressed in Chile immediately after picking.

Using organic rosehip oil

Rosehip oil is suitable for both women and men and for all skin types: dry, combination and oily.

  • Face:  Apply it in the evening before going to bed - cleanse the skin, apply a hydrosol or toner, and then evenly apply one or two drops of rosehip oil all over the damp skin on your face (including décolletage). Always apply the oil to damp skin.
  • Body: After taking a bath or a shower, apply to damp skin and rub well. For a massage, you can add a few drops of essential oil.
  • Hair: Rub a few drops on the split hair ends and comb through.

10 essential tips if you already use or want to use Malinca Rosehip oil

  • It is a natural organic cold-pressed unrefined oil with no additives and thus does not have a scent. It is thus significantly better for your skin than most other moisturizers and serums that contain synthetic fragrances. Our skin deserves only the best of nature.
  • It is one of the few oils that is suitable for all skin types - dry, mature, oily, combination, acne-prone...
  • It is suitable as an anti-age treatment, but can also be used for acne-prone skin or reducing blemishes and scars and treating dermatitis.
  • It absorbs into the skin very quickly and does not clog pores. It is used in the evening (2 to 3 drops will suffice) and is always applied todamp or wet skin - it is recommended that you generously spray your skin with hydrosol before applying the oil. It is not used in the morning because it can oxidize when exposed to sunlight, which can have an opposite effect.
  • If your skin is lacking in moisture, you can apply a moisturizer before applying rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is not applied instead of a moisturizer, but instead of a serum. It nourishes the skin with vitamins and antioxidants.
  • As rosehip oil is considered as one of less stable oils, we recommend using it up within 6 months after opening. For this reason, Malinca rosehip oil is packaged in 30ml bottles.
  • Shelf life of rosehip oil can be prolonged in the following ways:
*use a pump and always close the cap after use,
*keep it in a dark and cool place - preferably in the refrigerator,
*you can add a bit of Vitamin E for more stability.
  • If rosehip oil is too intense for your skin, you can simply mix it with any other oil. For dry and mature skin, it is best to combine it with argan or avocado oil. For oily and mixed skin, we recommend mixing it with jojoba oil.
  • You can find rosehip oil in single 30 ml packaging or in different packs together with hydrosols and other oils.

Best before: If stored correctly (in a cool place and away from direct sunlight), the oil will stays fresh for 6 months to 1 year. To extend its shelf life, store the oil in the refrigerator after opening.
