We can’t blame you, as the marriage of chocolate flavour with the sweet taste of raspberry is officially irresistible. But of course, you are well aware that ordinary chocolates are full of sugars and additives… As a result, you always have to fight your sugar guilt and sometimes rather skip the experience of having a taste altogether.
But you know what? If you choose wisely, a guilty conscience is completely unnecessary, as you can be seduced by the sweetness of chocolate perfectly without sin.
Positive effects of chocolate consumption
Chocolate can be a great snack, and those who included it on the superfoods list are well aware of this. According to some data, if we consume a little dark chocolate before exercise, even our fitness capacity and efficiency will increase.
Of course, we are not talking about milk chocolates full of refined sugars and emulsifiers, but about one that is as natural as possible with a high value of cocoa, which is the main reason for positive properties of chocolate.
Dark chocolate contains many antioxidants such as polyphenols, flavonoids and catechins. Studies also show that dark chocolates are consumed in smaller quantities than those with a lot of sugar, yet the satisfaction effect afterwards can be even greater. It also reduces sugar and unhealthy snacks cravings, making a piece of dark chocolate a better alternative in moments when sugar rush kicks in.

In Malinca we wanted something that will pamper your palate with its charming decadence and gentle sweetness. Something that melts into gentle, silky sensation in your mouth or amplifies the desserts of all sorts. We wanted something that would make even the most demanding chocolate lovers’ hearts skip a beat…
So we got busy and created delicious dark chocolate with as much as 86 % cocoa content and lyophilized raspberries. And all this completely without any usually added sugars…
To really enjoy chocolate guilt-free, it must contain high cocoa contents and only a little sugar – none at all would be best- as a sweet note can be added to it in a completely natural way.
We managed to do just this with adding one special ingredient to dark chocolate…
And this was stevia. Stevia is extremely good news for all those who want or need to stay clear of sugar, and diabetics can also enjoy it without any worries.
Stevia is a green plant native to South America. It contains steviol glycosides, which are said to taste up to three hundred times sweeter than white sugar. The advantage is that stevia is completely natural, has no calories and does not cause blood sugar spikes.
A mix of raspberry fruit and amazing chocolate…
We added our favourite fruit to the dark chocolate - raspberries. To preserve their colour, nutrition and natural aroma, we added lyophilized raspberries. This means that they were dried at a very low temperature and pressure, and this allowed all the goodness in them to remain intact.
What else should l keep in mind when l want guilt-free chocolate?
It should not contain added artificial flavours and strong preservatives, however, it should contain as many nutrients as possible, such as fibre, because in that case, it is no longer an ordinary dessert, but food with added value.

Chocolate contains only naturally occurring sugars, and the main sweetener is completely natural stevia. Chocolate is therefore also suitable for all those having blood sugar spikes issues or have diabetes.
Is there an after-taste of stevia in chocolate?
No, there’s no taste or after-taste of stevia. Just soft chocolate that melts smoothly in your mouth.
Is there any sweetener besides stevia in chocolate?
Chocolate contains naturally occurring sugars, the main sweetener is stevia, and some texture and sweetness are added by erythritol, which is also classified as natural sugar. Erythritol does not affect blood sugar, as its caloric value is zero.
What are dextrin, inulin and oligofructose?
Dextrin, inulin and oligofructose are dietary fibre. Dextrin is obtained from starch, inulin is a soluble fibre and provides texture, but at the same time has virtually no effect on blood sugar and acts as a prebiotic, just like another dietary fibre, oligofructose. This means that they present food to microbial cultures in the gut, which is a great property.
What is lecithin and why is it added?
Soy lecithin is used as one of the most common emulsifiers. Lecithin is actually present in just about every cell in the human body. In some places, due to its properties, it is even used as a dietary supplement.
