Can I use Serum Retinol+ in the morning and during the day?
Serum Retinol+ is recommended for evening use only, as retinoids increase skin sensitivity to UV radiation. For daytime use, apply a cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF).
How does liposomal retinol and HPR retinol compare to classic retinoids?
Liposomal retinol is a more stable and less irritating form of retinol that allows for gradual release and is ideal for sensitive skin. HPR (Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate) acts directly on skin receptors and is less irritating than traditional retinoids, while not requiring conversion to an active form.
Can I use the product if I have dry skin?
Yes, the product is also suitable for dry skin, and it can be combined with nourishing oils such as rosehip oil with vitamin E for additional care of dry skin. Apply Retinol+ first to dry skin, wait for it to absorb well, and then apply Rosehip oil with vitamin E.
Can I use the product if I have acne-prone or oily skin?
Yes, retinoids are important and well-known for use in problematic and oily skin, so Serum Retinol+ is also suitable for acne-prone or oily skin. It can be used alone, directly on dry facial skin.
Why might the skin start peeling at the beginning of use?
Peeling is a normal reaction as retinoids stimulate skin cell renewal and the removal of dead skin cells. In the case of impurities, old subcutaneous impurities may come to the surface more quickly. This process usually calms down after a few weeks of regular use. At the beginning, it is good to use the product every third evening, and later, when the skin gets used to it and there is no more reaction, it can be used every evening.
How do I distinguish between a normal retinoid reaction and possible hypersensitivity?
Normal reactions include slight redness, peeling, a few more pimples due to purging, or temporary dryness. If you notice severe irritation, burning sensation, or swelling immediately after application, it may be a sign of hypersensitivity. In this case, stop using the product immediately.
Why shouldn't pregnant and breastfeeding women use Retinol+?
Retinoids are not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding as they can affect fetal development or pass into breast milk. They are a form of vitamin A, known teratogens (cause defects in the fetus). Young mothers should wait until they stop breastfeeding before using it. Even when planning a pregnancy, Retinol+ should not be used.
Can someone with dermatitis or rosacea use Retinol+?
For conditions like dermatitis or rosacea, it is advisable to be cautious with retinoid use. You can do a test on a small area of skin and see how the skin reacts, as the effect is very individual. You can also consult a dermatologist before use.
Can I combine Retinol+ with Serum C15 Booster?
Yes, they can be combined, but we recommend using Serum C15 Booster in the morning and Retinol+ in the evening for the best effect and to apply active ingredients for a youthful appearance in both parts of the day. However, there is nothing wrong with using both in the evening as well.
Can I combine Retinol+ with Rosehip oil or other nourishing oils?
Yes, Retinol+ can be combined with rosehip oil or other nourishing oils for additional skin care, especially if you have dry skin.
Why shouldn't I combine Retinol+ with acids like AHA, BHA, PHA?
Combining Retinol+ with acids can increase sensitivity and additional skin irritation. It is recommended not to use such products on the same day.
Why do I need to use a cream with a protective factor after using Retinol+?
Retinoids increase skin sensitivity to the sun, so using a cream with a high SPF is necessary to protect the skin from UV damage.
Can I use Retinol+ only spot-on or should I apply it to the entire face?
Retinol+ can be used spot-on on problematic areas or applied to the entire face (except near mucous membranes), depending on the needs and tolerance of the skin.
From what age can I use Retinol+?
Retinol+ is suitable from the age of 18. At that time, problematic skin will be grateful, and later it is an excellent choice for caring for signs of aging and maintaining a radiant and youthful appearance.
