Use it daily (morning or evening), mix a few drops of the serum into your favourite moisturiser or oil and apply to cleansed skin on the face, neck and cleavage. For a more intensive treatment, apply just a few drops of the serum to a clean and moisturised face.
Warning: Avoid the eye and lip areas. We recommend a skin sensitivity test before use. In case of an adverse reaction, stop using the serum.
Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heat sources and moisture. Use within 6 months after opening. Refrigeration is not recommended.
How do I use the serum depending on my skin type?
Just add a drop of the antioxidant serum to your favourite moisturiser or treatment oil and pamper your skin with the best combination out there. If the skin is mature or naturally on the drier side, the serum can be massaged onto damp skin on the face or added to a rich nourishing moisturiser. However, if you’re more prone to oily skin or acne, it's enough to just add one drop to your usual moisturiser and apply the mixture onto your face.
Why did we choose an oil-based serum?
The epidermis of human skin acts as a water barrier. However, as the skin naturally contains oils, and oil-based routine is ideal because it can penetrate more layers of skin and have a greater effect. A fat-soluble vitamin C in an oil-based antioxidant formulation thus combines the best of both worlds.
Why is the serum orange?
The orange colour is due to carotenoids from rosehip, sea buckthorn, and astaxanthin, an antioxidant pigment from seaweed. Coenzyme Q10 gives the serum an extra yellowish tone.
Is the serum fragranced?
The serum has the natural scent of oils, complemented by all-natural vanilla extract, which has a charming scent loved by many.
Does the serum cause burning sensation?
No, the serum does not contain common vitamin C, but a derivative that is non-acidic and non-irritating, meaning that the product does not cause a burning sensation. It is advisable to check whether you are sensitive to any of the ingredients before use. You can do it by performing a skin test.
What is the pH of the serum?
The pH value can only be measured in an aqueous solution. Our serum is an anhydrous, non-acidic, and non-irritating formula.
Is the serum comedogenic?
In principle, the serum isn’t comedogenic, but a comedogenic effect in humans can vary from person to person. To reduce the possibility of such problems, we have added jojoba oil, which, in addition to its nutritional value, regulates sebum in the skin. It's best to try mixing the serum into different moisturisers, as sometimes the moisturiser is the source of the problem. Make sure not to combine the product with products high in coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter or with heavy, thick moisturisers. Some people are happy with just directly applying it to damp skin.
For how long can I use the product?
One bottle (20 ml) can last up to 3 to 4 months if used regularly once or twice a day. Once opened, use within 6 months. Store it in a dark and cool place, away from sunlight, heat sources and sources of moisture. Under no circumstances should the serum be stored in the fridge, as some of the components may thicken.
From what age onwards can I use the serum?
The serum is suitable for anyone above 18 years of age who wants to start taking care of their skin in time to ensure that it is nourished and packed with antioxidants. If desired, it can also be used by younger users who wish to try it for acne blemishes. Mature skin that is already showing signs of ageing will also really appreciate the serum, as it is excellent for treating wrinkles, pigmentation and other imperfections.
What should I not combine the serum with?
The serum should not be mixed with other potent actives such as retinoids, acids, niacinamide, etc. Mixing with Malinca natural face moisturiser and oils such as rosehip oil is perfectly safe.
