Failed again to remove all makeup from your face?

Are you among those who don't make it to remove all makeup from their face every night? Or does your skin get irritated or even dry after cleansing…

No need to fret and worry, all you need is an easy and effective skincare routine.

An old adage used to say that water and a comb was all you need - but that's long not enough…

If you're searching for different facial cleansing techniques, you will surely come across the old wives' tale of washing face with water only.

But if you wash your face only with water, you definitely won't be able to remove all the excess oil and dead cells, let alone makeup. All of this therefore stays on your skin and clogs up the pores.

In addition, the pH value that water has is often inappropriate. Hard tap water is often slightly alkaline and has a pH of about 7.

However, the surface of the skin should always be slightly acidic. The products recommended for cleansing should therefore have a pH of around 5.

What makes an optimal facial cleanser?

The opinion is quite uniform nowadays - the facial cleanser should be as gentle, nourishing and with a suitable pH value as possible.

Because we wanted a natural version, we developed Malinca’s natural face cleansing gel…

In Malinca, we trust the products we develop ourselves the most along with following the advice of experts who really know a lot about them.

Thus, Malinca's cosmetic and skincare products were joined by a natural face cleansing gel, which is also dermatologically tested, contains an incredible 99 % of natural ingredients and also boasts an ideal pH value of 5.5. It also removes makeup in the blink of an eye.

Malinca's Natural Face Cleansing Gel boasts the following outstanding properties:

  • 99 % natural ingredients
  • Skin friendly pH 5.5
  • Slovenian product
  • No perfume
  • For all skin types
  • Effectively removes makeup
  • Does not irritate the eyes
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Vegan

So gentle that even sensitive skin adores it…

Sensitive skin needs special care. It needs gentle treatment and hydration. And this is exactly what we created with the help of natural and nourishing ingredients.

We added hyaluron and glycerin, which provide hydration, and natural plant extracts such as aloe vera, chamomile and damask rose, which soothe, nourish, cleanse and refresh the skin.

What does the skin not need at all?

In any case, both sensitive and less sensitive skin do not need fragrances. Therefore, there are no fragrances in our cleansing gel. The scent is therefore not artificial or perfumed, but natural and slightly acidic, which testifies to the skin-friendly pH of 5.5.

Why did we choose damask rose, aloe vera juice and chamomile flower extract?

Damascus rose hydrolat: Also known as rose water, it has long been known as a natural beauty agent that moisturizes the skin, and its properties have been associated with anti-aging effects. In addition to moisturizing, it also provides the skin's natural pH.

Aloe Vera Barbadensis Leaf Extract: Aloe vera is also a well-known moisturizer, and with anti-inflammatory properties, it is a frequent ingredient in cosmetics intended for acne skin as well as care for skin prone to blemishes, redness and flaking.

Chamomile Flower Extract: Chamomile is a cornerstone of a natural tradition and skincare. We've all enjoyed a cup of chamomile tea or even used it for hair and skincare. The well-known properties of this soothing gentle plant have also been incorporated into our facial cleansing gel.

Not only moisturizing - also cleansing is one of the foundations of beautiful skin

  • Cleansing removes impurities that would otherwise accumulate on the skin. Every day we have to remove excess sebum from the skin, dirt applied to the face with our hands or as the result of a polluted environment, makeup and grime. Without cleansing, we give free rein to bacteria that thrive happily in the dirt.
  • Cleansing increases hydration i.e. moisture of the skin and using the right products maintains the proper pH value, which is very important for skin protection and maintaining a healthy skin barrier.
  • Cleansing prevents outbreaks of pimples and other skin impurities. The skin produces sebum, which protects it and also takes care of maintaining adequate moisture. However, if dirt accumulates on its surface, the pores can become clogged because the sebum gets trapped. When this happens, bacteria can penetrate the follicles and cause acne outbreaks.
  • Cleansing prepares the skin for further care. It helps to absorb the skincare products more effectively. Only properly cleansed and moisturized skin can fully absorb treatments, creams and oils with which we additionally nourish it.

Cleansing gel ingredients:

Water: Water is a very important part of most cosmetic products, as, in addition to forming a base in which all other ingredients bind into a whole, it performs an important function in the skin, and is especially important when cleansing.

Damascus rose hydrolat: Rose hydrolat or rose water is a long-known natural beauty agent that also moisturizes the skin, and its action is also associated with anti-aging effects. The hydrolat ensures the freshness and appropriate pH value of the skin.

Coco-glucoside: This is a cloudy-looking liquid derived from coconut. It helps to break down dirt and clean the surface of the skin. Because of this, it is often used in shampoos, face gels and other cleansers.

PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides: a substance derived from coconut oil and glycerin. These triglycerides retain water in the top layer of the skin and make the skin soft and smooth. These are naturally occurring fatty acids that have been used for cosmetic purposes for more than half a century. They are a common ingredient in micellar waters.

Glycerin: is a natural moisturizer. It is present in natural lipids i.e. fats. It regulates moisture and also binds moisture from the environment. In this way, it raises the level of moisture in the upper layers of the skin. Glycerin is also naturally present in the skin. It is also a natural preservative and a well-known ingredient in moisturizers and anti-aging creams.

Aloe vera leaf juice: Aloe vera is recognized in cosmetics as an almost miraculous ingredient, as it is hailed for its amazing properties. It is an excellent moisturizer that is supposed to work against inflammation. In cosmetics, aloe vera is often added because of its supposed regenerative effect.

Sodium chloride: This ingredient is commonly known as salt. It is mainly used as a binder in skincare products and skin cleansing products. It is a simple but extremely effective ingredient found in many cosmetic products.

Carrageenan: A common food additive derived from red seaweed. Manufacturers also often use it in cosmetics as a thickening agent, as it binds water and provides a pleasant consistency of a product such as a face gel.

Chamomile flower extract: Chamomile is famous for its gentle soothing and anti-inflammatory effects, which makes it perfect for making a cup of tea. Its effects, however, go further, as it is excellent and gentle even when applied to the skin. It is used in cosmetics because it binds moisture to the skin and is said to have antiseptic effects.

Sodium hyaluronate: is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which is very well known in cosmetics and naturally present in the skin. It is advertised as an anti-aging ingredient. It moisturizes the skin well, makes it soft and youthful. It also penetrates deeper layers of the skin, so the skin is deeply moisturized, supple and more youthful.

Benzyl alcohol: This is a compound derived from the fruit. It is in the form of a colorless liquid and has a slightly sweet smell. Its job is to protect the product against microorganisms, while allowing other ingredients to work optimally. It is a completely safe compound for the skin, despite the word 'alcohol'.

Dehydroacetic acid: this acid protects the product and works mainly against various fungi that could otherwise compromise the product. It is a safe compound often added to various creams. It is a biodegradable ingredient, posing no harm to the environment either.

Sodium benzoate: it is an additive that protects the gel from microorganisms, i.e. bacteria and fungi. It is an additive that is also allowed in the diet due to its safety. It is found in flavored water, juices, meat products, sweets, etc. It is therefore safe enough that it is used even in the food industry.

Potassium sorbate: a preservative also used in foods as well as personal care products. Protects against mold and various yeasts. It is often added to cheese, wine, yoghurt, dried meats… Research shows that its use is safe in the long run. It gives the gel durability and keeps your skin safe from unwanted influences.

Citric acid: Citric acid is most often obtained from citrus, and it is added to the product to help regulate the pH, which should not be too alkaline. It also acts as an exfoliator and, given the amount used in the product, acts very gently on the surface of the skin.

Farnesol: Farnesol is a natural fragrance and is a natural component of Damascus rose essential oils.

Geraniol: It is a fragrance that is naturally present in the hydrolat as it is part of the essential oils found in it.

Citronellol: a natural ingredient in essential oils with a very pleasant scent, so it is often used in cosmetics. It is well tolerated by the skin, with a sweet and floral scent, which is also present in the hydrolat of the roses in which it is found.

Linalool: It is found in essential oils and in hydrolat and is a natural component of spices that is non-toxic to humans.

Geraniol, farnesol, linalool and citronellol are completely natural fragrances that are naturally present in Damascus rose hydrolat. Hydrolat is one of the most represented ingredients in Malinca's natural face cleansing gel.
