Similar to vitamins, but not a vitamin ...
One of the common questions we ask when we come across coenzyme Q10 is – What is this famous Q10 that is consumed by the elderly, athletes, those who just want to add a little something extra to their daily routine, as well as students ...?
It is a compound similar to vitamins, but not considered one of them. It could be said that it is a very special fat-soluble vitamin that is naturally present in cells and was discovered in 1957 by Fred Crane. He discovered that it is a compound produced by the body itself; however, some of it also comes from food. Because Q10 is synthesized by the body itself and despite the fact that less and less of it is produced over the years, it is not considered a vitamin.
Where can it be found and how can we make sure we have enough of it?
In the body, the highest quantities of the coenzyme Q10 are found in the heart, liver and kidneys. It is a part of every cell and is involved in many processes.
Q10 is a vitamin-like compound and is found in foods such as oily fish, offal, meat, soy, certain nuts and vegetables such as broccoli. Q10 content in foods ranges from 0.2 to 6 milligrams per 100 g of food. You can therefore boost your intake by consuming these foods.
What about supplements?
It is certainly advisable to get as many vitamins and minerals as possible from food, but if you do choose to take supplements, they should be of good quality. On average, various coenzyme Q10 supplements contain around 100 mg of Q10 coenzyme, which should be sufficient for an adult's needs, but how much you really need depends on your diet, level of physical activity, etc.
More and more people are choosing to take Q10 supplements.
Beauty enthusiasts were the first to get to know Q10, as it is often added to moisturizers that promise plump skin and a youthful appearance. Then it was introduced to those who realized that Q10 could also be ingested, not just applied.
Its many benefits win over almost anyone who does a little web browsing and research.
Thus, the Malinca team also decided to offer a dietary supplement that is vegan, of high quality and local origin, and with an added extract for maximum absorption. This Q10 supplement is suitable for practically anyone who wants to introduce the coenzyme Q10 into their daily routine.

It is fat-soluble and is primarily located on the inner mitochondrial cell membrane, where it is needed to produce ATP (an energy molecule).
