Balm, Cream and Toothpaste – homemade DIY

Three quick and easy cosmetic recipes for beauty products you can prepare at home.

Lip balm
A lip balm that will nourish protect your lips from the cold. Shea butter will help restore the lips, beeswax will soothe them and retain moisture, while honey will provide antimicrobial action.

Ingredients:
* 20 g of shea butter
* 5 g of beeswax
* 1/4 teaspoon honey

Preparation: Heat shea butter in a glass container or a jar placed into a pot of boiling water. Add pieces of beeswax and once the wax has melted, add honey to the mixture. Pay attention to the temperature which should not exceed 40 °C in order to preserve the nutrients of all the ingredients. Stir well and pour the mixture into the desired containers. Wait for the balm to cool completely and then it is ready for daily use.

Body cream
A rich and fluffy body cream that will make your skin soft. Apply the cream on slightly moist skin in the evening after showering. The cream is also suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Shea butter helps to restore the skin barrier and also works great for skin allergies and dermatitis. Mango butter helps to lock in moisture (acts as an emollient). Jojoba oil is rich in fabulous and indispensable vitamin E for the skin.

Ingridients:
* 50 g of shea butter
* 30 g mango oil
* 20 g of jojoba oil

Preparation: Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix for 3 minutes with an electric whisk at the highest speed so that the butter and oil bind nicely together. Spoon the cream into a clean glass jar.

Store the cream at room temperature closed in a container for up to 6 months. Since the cream is very rich and greasy, I do not recommend using it every day, but two to three times a week.

Whitening toothpaste
Whitening toothpaste is made from only three ingredients. Turmeric and coconut oil have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making them an excellent choice for oral care. Turmeric also helps with gum inflammation. Baking soda, on the other hand, is a great help in removing tooth stains. It creates an alkaline environment in the mouth, which prevents the growth of bacteria.

The taste in the mouth after rinsing is ok, which worried me the most. Don’t be intimidated because your teeth are yellow while brushing - when you rinse the paste off they are wonderfully white. The paste can be stored in the refrigerator for a week.

Ingredients:
* 1 teaspoon turmeric
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Preparation: Mix all ingredients into a thick yellowish paste. Put the paste on a toothbrush and brush your teeth well for 2 to 3 minutes.
