Homemade Milch Schnitte

Evergreen kids' dessert Kinder Milch Schnitte in a homemade version. It's very quick and easy to make and the result provides a great healthy dessert. You can also offer it to your children completely guilt-free.

INGREDIENTS:

Base:
* 4 eggs
* 4 tablespoons honey
* 5 tablespoons 100 % cocoa
* 5 tablespoons white spelt flour

Milky cream:
* 250 g mascarpone
* 100 ml of liquid whipping cream
* 1 teaspoon cognac glucomannan to thicken the cream (also available in DM stores and Mercator hypermarkets)
* 2 tablespoons honey
* 1 tablespoon grated coconut

METHOD: Base: The yolks are separated from the whites. Beat the egg whites into hard snow. Add honey to the yolks and beat with an electric mixer until the batter increases and you get a creamy structure. Slowly add cocoa and flour and mix lightly. Add the snow slowly, spoon by spoon, and stir constantly with a spoon or spatula. Stir slowly so long as to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Place the baking paper on a large baking tray (the one that goes over the whole oven or a smaller 20x40 cm - we used the latter in the video) and spread the mixture thinly on the paper. Bake at 180 degrees for 6 minutes.

Cream: While the base is baking, prepare the cream. Whip the cream first and mix it with the mascarpone cheese. Add cognac glucomannan, honey and coconut and mix with an electric mixer on low speed. Cool the base, then cut it in half and remove from the paper. Spread all the cream on one half and cover with the other part of the biscuit. The dessert can be enjoyed right away, but it’s even better if we leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours.
