Meatballs in tomato sauce

INGREDIENTS for 2 to 3 people:

Sauce:
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1/2 onion
* 2 cloves garlic
* 800 g tomatoes in pieces (2 cans)
* 1 dl of water
* spices: 1 teaspoon oregano, basil, Himalayan salt, pepper, ground red pepper and a pinch of chilli

Meat balls:
* 500 g minced beef
* 1/2 onion
* 2 eggs
* 50 g oat flakes (ground or whole)
* 80 g seed mixture (flax, sesame, sunflower)
* spices: 1 teaspoon salt, ground red pepper, pepper, basil, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and a pinch of chilli.

METHOD: Set the oven to 175 degrees. Chop the onion and prepare 2 skillets. Fry half of the onion in oil in each skillet. Add garlic to one pan and fry until you can smell it.

Set one pan aside and prepare the sauce in a pan with garlic. Stir in the tomato pieces, water, add the spices and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.

While the sauce is cooking, prepare the meatballs. In a large bowl, place the meat, oatmeal, pre-fried half of the onion, egg, seeds and spices. Knead the mass with your hands and form balls. Place the balls in a deep baking dish and bake for 20 minutes at 175 degrees.

Once the balls are baked, pour the tomato sauce over them, sprinkle with the sliced ​​mozzarella and place in the oven for another 20 minutes.
